Indeje Andrew Innocent is an empowered youth who is motivated to create a safe space for the youth with the aim of building a better tomorrow by empowering today’s youth, socially, culturally, economically with specific respect to matters on Gender, Adolescent and Youth Interventions. Innocent is a professional teacher who earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Education at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology.
Through volunteering, Innocent has over the past five years earned his work related experience through facilitation of Comprehensive Sexuality Education in and out of schools, championing for the Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Rights, policy advocacy, budget advocacy, and socio-economic empowerment of the youth both in and out of school.
Innocent is motivated by the fact that everyone has the ability to positively impact their own future irrespective of their current situation. With this he is keen to inspire more young people as change makers in order to create a supportive environment and ensure genuine youth involvement in programme design and delivery, monitoring and evaluation, as well as advocacy and decision-making processes. This is through boosting performance by closing delivery gaps, unleashing capabilities, within the youth, and changing the societal cultures.
